In cooperation with the former Federal Minister of Economy Michael Glos, TÜV SÜD completes the largest purchase in the history of the company.

In March 2006, it was acquired by Singapore-based PSB Group. Given PSB’s strong position in Southeast Asia, particularly its employment in the areas of management systems and product testing, it sees the acquisition as a major milestone in its expansion.

The following year, the foundation was laid for the future on the other side of Asia: Under the name TÜVTÜRK, TÜV SÜD and these two regional partners begin to establish a network of 200 vehicle service centers in Turkey. The idea is to enable general inspections (based on the German model) of all 12 million of registered motor vehicles in the country since 2009.
