IFS Standards
IFS Standards are unique standards related to food, products and services. They ensure that companies certified according to IFS standards produce products or provide services that are in line with customer requirements, and at the same time work on improving their processes.
IFS was founded in 2003 under the name International Food Standard. Since then, the company, which has seen annual growth of 10.9 percent, has expanded its operations with six standards and operates globally.
All IFS-related materials are published in five languages: German, English, Spanish, French and Italian. The goal of IFS is to ensure comparability and transparency for the user throughout the entire supply chain, as well as to reduce costs for suppliers and retailers. These goals are implemented not only by the IFS team but also by the IFS board as well as the ITC (IFS Technical Committee).
