Pressure equipment and simple pressure vessels (PED, SPVD)
Pressure equipment (OPP) and simple pressure vessels (JPPP) are placed on the market and put into use if they meet the essential safety requirements in order to protect the safety of life and human health. For OPP and JPPP, correct installation, maintenance and use according to the intended purpose are required in order to ensure the safety of the product in use during the lifetime of use. The two main risks from the action of pressurized fluids are:
the creation of missiles and
generation of a shock wave (pressure wave) that is accompanied by the breakage of some parts of the system.
OPP includes vessels, equipment heated by flame or otherwise (boilers), pipelines, safety devices, auxiliary pressure devices, pressure assemblies and associated parts of this equipment. JPPP are series-produced containers for air or nitrogen that meet additional requirements for the application of a special rulebook / directive.
In the Republic of Serbia, the Regulations for placing OPP and JPPP on the market apply to the design, production and conformity assessment of OPP and JPPP, namely:
- Rulebook on pressure equipment (“Official Gazette of RS” No. 114/21);
- Rulebook on simple pressure vessels (“Official Gazette of RS” number 114/21).
TMS CEE doo is the designated body for the assessment of conformity of OPP and JPPP. If you are a manufacturer, manufacturer’s representative or importer, we can provide you with the service of OPP or JPPP certification and placement of the Serbian mark of conformity (AAA) with our identification mark (I049) on the product.
For OPP (and JPPP), classification, first inspection, periodic and extraordinary inspections, as well as pre-commissioning inspections are carried out before commissioning and during use according to the national Rulebook on inspections of pressure equipment during the lifetime of use (“Official Gazette of RS” number 114/21, 63/23 and 7/25). TMS CEE doo is able to support you in defining and providing OPP inspection services during the lifetime of use.
In the European Union (EU) and the EFTA member states, as well as some candidate countries for admission to the EU, the new approach directives for placing them on the market are applied to the design, production and conformity assessment of OPP and JPPP, namely:
- Directive 2014/68/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of May 15, 2014 on the harmonization of the regulations of the member states on placing pressure equipment on the market. (PED 2014/68/EU)
- Directive 2014/29/EU of the European Parliament and the Council of 26 February 2014 on the placing on the market of simple pressure vessels (SPVD 2014/29/EU).
TMS CEE doo in cooperation with the partner notified body from the EU (notified body – NoBo) for the assessment of OPP and JPPP conformity for OPP and JPPP manufacturers provides appropriate certification and placement of the EU mark of conformity (CE) with the NoBo identification mark on the product.
