Inspection of wooden railway sleepers

Railway sleepers are an important part of railway infrastructure. Compliance with standard requirements is a vital condition for safe and economical railway traffic. Conformity assessment of railway sleepers with standard requirements is a job performed by independent, objective, and professional conformity assessment bodies.

TMS CEE doo holds ATS accreditation as a type A conformity assessment body, accreditation number 06-047, according to the standard SRPS ISO/IEC 17020:2012 or the inspection of railway sleepers.

Our experts have extensive and respectable experience in the inspection of wooden railway sleepers and will ensure that only sleepers that meet the requirements of the standards are delivered. The inspection procedure we carry out includes:

• Inspection of the quality of sleepers in the white state (determining the dryness of sleepers before acceptance),
• Production inspection,
• Inspection of the impregnation process and quality.

The inspection procedure and assessment of the compliance of sleepers with the requirements are carried out in accordance with the Regulation on technical conditions and maintenance of the upper structure of railway tracks, standards: SRPS EN 13145:2013, DIN 68811 and other relevant standards and regulations.

If the sleepers have met the defined requirements:

An Inspection Report or Railway Sleeper Certificate is generated.

An assessment of the conformity of the sleepers with the defined requirements is given.
