Risk management in companies - standards and good practice
On Thursday, April 21, a seminar was held under the title “Risk management in companies – standards and good practice”. Seminar organizers TMS CEE and AHK (German – Serbian Chamber of Commerce)
The seminar was intended for senior and middle management, entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, consultants and advisors, as well as experts in occupational risks and corporate security and resilience.
Seminar participants had the opportunity to acquire the latest knowledge in the field of risk management and to familiarize themselves with the relevant standards dealing with risk management. They also took a holistic view of business risks and familiarized themselves with the principles, methods and techniques of risk management, related to good corporate security and resilience. After that, they could independently identify the risks from the aspect of their business, in accordance with the best international practice.
The introduction to today’s lecture was presented by prof. Dr. Mladen Milošević, director of the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Security, who introduced the participants to co-management of security risks in the conditions of modern business. Through interesting examples from practice, the lecturer led those present through the possible risks of business, but also the processes that determine the causes, levels and scope of risks, as well as the ways to approach their treatment or control.
BoškoGavović, director of TMS CEE, guided the attendees through the history of risk management, from the origin of the term, through the first forms, to today. Presented is the framework in which RM is today, with examples from practice, which describe the importance of corporate security and risk management. Gavović pointed out that “corporate security is a key tool for companies.”
