The global standard for agents and brokers is not intended
Brokers: Companies that buy ortake ownership of products to resell to producers, other brokers, retailers orfood service companies, but not directly to the consumer.
Agents ornon-manufacturing service providers: Companies that trade betweenmanufacturers or brokers and their customers but do not own or take ownershipof the goods.
Importers/exporters: Companies thatfacilitate the movement of products across national borders, meeting legal andcustoms requirements. Importers and exporters can also be agents and / orbrokers.
