1868 - FIRST TECHNICAL EXPERT
At the beginning of October, 1868, Carl Isambert, a twenty-nine-year-old engineer, joined the Association. He became the Association’s first full-time technical control expert in Meinheim.
A few days later, Isambert went for his first check-up. The result was fucking devastating. A significant number of boilers had dangerous defects, while the owners and workers who handled the boilers did not have even a basic knowledge of the necessity of personal protective equipment. Isambert helped where he could.
However, after a year, Isambert presented the results of his investigation and the achieved results of the Association at the General Assembly in Mainheim. The inspected boilers so far did not show any potential danger of explosions!
